The Tempest

On Saturday April 14th, we saw Jai Goodman as Stephano in The Tempest at the Meyerhoff Arts Center, Goucher College, with Carolyn and Lissy. I thought the performances of Stephano and Ferdinand we excellent, inspired! Prospero, Ariel, and Miranda were also very good, as was the staging/scenery/props. I thought the others were just good, but the absense of a few scenes wouldn't be missed. Still, I liked it at least as much as the Tempest at the Shakespeare Theater in DC last year. Also enjoyed Norrie Epstein's background on the play (not included in the program), which notes this as one of Shakespear's later plays, maturly resolving comedy and tragedy, and fitting the play into exactly 3 hours between 3 and 6 pm. For more insformation see: http://blogs.goucher.edu/tempest

We also met Alex, a clever young man of Jai's from Johns Hopkins. Liked him.

Saw the Jenkins briefly; Hannah has super new pajamas.
